Insure Pacific was founded in 1935 in Oregon — a time when Central Oregon was a very different place. What began as a small agency focused on auto and home insurance has grown into one of Oregon's most trusted independent insurance agencies, representing over 50 top-rated carriers across ten states.

George and Monica Elsom came to the insurance world from different backgrounds — George from a career with one of the major captive carriers, and Monica from clothing manufacturing. After settling in Central Oregon with their two children, Kaylee and Austin, they were recruited by a local agency to run operations. In 2008, they purchased Insure Pacific and set out to grow it on their own terms. In 2013, they expanded by acquiring another respected local independent agency — one whose founding family trusted them to carry on their legacy of caring for staff and clients alike. That agency became Prineville Insurance.

Together, Insure Pacific and Prineville Insurance form a family of sister agencies united by a single mission: to provide coverage that competes with the "big guys" while taking care of customers personally. Insure Pacific serves the broader Oregon market — including Bend, Brookings, and communities across the state — while Prineville Insurance focuses on Prineville and the heart of Central Oregon.

George passed away in 2015, and Monica has led both agencies with strength and dedication ever since. Under her leadership, the team has continued to grow, bringing on licensed professionals who share the same commitment to clients and community.
